Hope you didn't have to play downstairs on that ridiculous 'stage' they've got - I can't say we've had much success with that whole stage-split-down-the-middle-by-a-fucking-railing thing ;D

There's an upstairs?? I thought it was just a toilet upstairs and this thing that looked like pole dancing booth??
The stage downstairs is pretty small, yet strangely high... kinda like the Bull & Gate...

Ah... I was thinking of the Purple Turtle in Reading, not this one. I have no problem with any other Purple Turtle venues, for the record

Ahhh... OK yeah that would make sense.... sadly I've never been to this legendary Purple Turtle in Reading... only every gone to "The Boxing Club" and "The Fez Bar", which are both pretty darn strange as well...

Just checked out '...Ladies Toilets' (how could I not?!) and... I liked it a lot. Tight. I detect a Deftones influence... by no means a bad thing

Haha! Yeah it's only called that because the entrance to the ladies toilets is on the stage at the pub we play locally and we had planned to have our bassist emerge from toilet door whilst playing his wee mid 8th bit...
As for Deftones, hell yeah... my drummer and I love those bastards...

I thought it was cos when you saw x links play there that bird came out the toilet pissed and decked it over the bass players pedals. Wish I had seen that, it would have been worth coming down alone just to see that

No its so-called coz Johnson was gonna bust out from the ladies toilets.... although I was there to witness that girl decking it over the X-Links bassist's array of pedals only to be swiftly kicked off stage! Class!
