Rock Sound #141 (November 2010):
Never mind that Left Side Brain have been around for 10 years or that they've released three albums to date, if you haven't heard of them you'd be forgiven. Maybe it's that they haven't released any amenable music moments, or maybe it's that despite some quality material Left Side Brain have been criminally overlooked. Either way, the chief concern of 'Rifftrospective', a collection of their best songs, is simply the music. And by the time you've played out the 13 tales of anti-theism and science, which collide musically with Therapy?, you'll realise what you've been missing (a lot). Standout tracks here are 09's 'Colourblast' and 04's 'Uncomfortable'. Get listening and get educated. 7/10 For fans of: Sizen, Therapy? Faye Lewis

Dreadfully-named??? fuck off.. I think Rifftrospective is a great name. It's not all bad, but i'm callin him out on that, definately.. 90% of bands just go for "The Best of" and leave it at that.. and as for being five years late.. you've been around for 10 years, it was 2000 ten years ago.. which incase he hadn't noticed, came before 2002.. so i dont get what he was aimin for there.. and Helmet are still goin, so are Therapy?, and Kerbdog only called it a day last year, but Daragh's still goin.. Sounds like someone pissed in his cornflakes, but you'll have that, sorry for the rant, it would have annoyed me not to though.. haha.
