I'm sure this'll be a bit controversial and a very difficult choice but what do you guys think is the one album every rock fan should own?

This was easier than I expected, it's got to be:
LED ZEPPELIN - PHYSICAL GRAFFITI
All the best things about Zep in one monstrous double album. A complete masterclass in guitar, drums, bass, singing, the lot really.

Blimey. Err, I have no idea. If we're talking in terms of most important/most essential it's hard to stay objective. If I had to say just one album, I suppose I'd have to plump for
THE BEST AIR GUITAR ALBUM IN THE WORLD VOL. 3 - VARIOUS ARTISTES

Pink Floyd are ace, but they're a pretty chilled out affair compared to the mighty Zeppelin. If you're after some Floyd, listen to Wish You Were Here - it is total beautiful perfection, but if you want to rock out, Zeppelin wrote the rulebook and *still* do it better than everyone else. If Rock is your thing, you have to get into Led Zeppelin - this is a mandatory requirement for the genre .

haha! i forgot yould read this! eh hmm! anyways! well, I like the harmonies! but its the only boyband whose cd i still like, i dont listen to it very often! well actually - no offence to leftside brain *love ya's* but they're a boyband, and i like them and listen to there stuff as do you, so therefore you also like boybands! *is now going to run and hide and not show up to legends this evening*

Oh dear, Oh dear. And this topic started out so well and its been reduced to this... Leftside being called a boy band. Sorry Nicki but by your logic those loverly lads from McFly (I have given up slagging off Busted, they have been swept under my dormat of insignificance) can be classed as an influential progressive metal band.
Anyway my album of choice would have to be Therapy? Troublegum. it has been a friend of mine for ten years and i still cant play isolation! the drum sound on the album is perfection. on a non drumming front, I dont know of many other albums that are still used as a reviewers benchmark of excellance.

hey, Mcfly are cool!! and I dont mean it as an offence to leftside, cos clearly they're mint! but technically 4 males (as far as i know they all are) in a band makes a boy band! if sophie was a guy blinded by noise would be a boyband ! Nicki
