YO SAMO Contrary to your brutal playlist, this afternoon my brain is running a constant loop of whatever the current Keane single is. Despite their inherent detestability I have to admit that their skill for writing catchy pop songs is as impressive as i'm guessing their singer's ability to throw a ball/run like a boy is sadly lacking.

He is a man with a very punchable face. He also always looks like he's just run up a flight of stairs.
On a similar tack, I have Bloc Party songs going round my noggin. I'm trying to hate them, honest. But they might secretly be okay... *maybe*.
Otherwise, I am listening to Eels' Souljacker and the usual quantities of Mr. Lanegan...

Today my brain has been playing me the song on the new Muse album that goes "Beeeeeeest, you've got to be the best....". Your Time Is something or other I think. Nice hi-hats. That album is so good it upsets me.

That's the one with the huge piano symphony at the end, innit? Ace.
Worth checking out the dvd that comes with the album... any drummer that wants to get an ace bass drum sound by playing two of 'em on top of a floating mattress in an indoor swimming pool is alright by me.
Oh, and he was wearing a swimming cap at the time.

That's just reminded me, I was watching that very same DVD, bleary eyed, at about 2 in the morning the other night. I was pretty screwed by that late stage in the proceedings, but it's a thoroughly entertaining and informative watch. Makes me pine for the studio

Can't get that bloody Killers song out of my head. You may not be surprised to hear that i'm not usually particularly 'down' with the schmindie scene, but for some reason this song got through the net and i've had to admit that it's a fucking corker. Imagine a world where all of the terribly hip 'The' bands pulled their fingers out of each others arses and made storming records like this. I even forgive them the slightly embarassing and totally Blur 'Girls & Boys' aping chorus. I just.....wish.....it.....would.......stop......playing....and playing...... damn brain.

The new Idlewild song... I like. Little Roody Wibble with his ladies' hair. Bless.
Blimey, is it me or is it very indie in here today?
