I bought Equal and Opposite the other day and it is an awsome album. However, I'm a little disappointed (for perhaps more appropriately, 'concerned') that the song Harryhansen wasn't in it, even though all the other songs from Surface Tension e.p. (and even though I have Surface Tension): Harryhensen is my favourite song, and I was thinking that the song might get forgotten; because all but that song are on the new album, there isn't much incentive to buy it just for the one song if you've already bought Equal and Opposite so no one might buy that song. So not to give the impression that I'm pessimistic about it, do get Surface Tension just for Harryhausen because it is just as good as the other songs (better in my opinion) so it would be a shame if it got forgetten. Perhaps, maybe, Left Side Brain will put it in their next album (pleeease... I'll buy it if you do )

I can't speak for the other guys but... The main reason I think that we didn't include HH is that it feels very different to - and sits clearly apart from - the other songs on the album. In terms of tone (lyrically), it didn't fit with the overall themes we were going for on E&O. Cor, that was a sensible answer. Doesn't happen very often. We still occasionally bust it out live though, if that's any consolation.

Cor, that was a sensible answer. Doesn't happen very often. LOL Yay! It is Well, to be honest, I do think the majority of songs since Surface Tension have changed somewhat; they are slightly less melodic and emo-like. Though, I never thought Harryhansen was really that much different to the rest of the songs on Surface Tension. I just think it's a shame it's got left an it's own in Surface Tension, poor thing.

I'm wondering what happened to Woodrow!
i've just copied the Big Bang Theory cd and that 3 track sampler Oli gave me one night in Trowbridge so i can listen without fear of damaging the preciousness - they'll be worth a mint one day (not that i'd ever sell of course!)
"when you've got everything to prove but you follow someone just in case you lose"
the early(ish) days eh?

Ah, the mighty Woodrow... crushing of riff and celestial of chorus (hmmm, maybe a little too celestial )... We actually *played it as an encore some time last year in the Wunderbar, Midsomer Norton, fact fans... * badly

Oof. Woodrow.
Nice riffage, though. And I've always liked the 'comedy' ending.
