What can £10 buy YOU? Fostering a grandparent for a month? The Cheeky Girls album? Half a pair of trousers? OR IT CAN BUY YOU 27 bands across two stages, over 11 hours of youth driven, charity funding UXFEST ACTION. Uxfest 2004 brings you headliners Knuckledust, Stampin’ Ground and many more, from searing thrash metal like Burning Skies or Bristol punk stalwarts Hacksaw.
For the eighth year running Uxfest brings you the best in old, new, borrowed and blue, an unholy marriage of punk, rock and multitudinous metal. Staged in Fountains Mill youth centre, on the Metropolitan line, just a stones throw from central London, Uxfest is run by young people for young people. In the past we have played host to a fledgling Lost Prophets, Raging Speedhorn, Sikth, King Prawn, Jesse James and countless others…<br>
This year, all the profits from Uxfest will go to local charity HACS (Hillingdon Autistic Care & Support). HACS work to raise greater awareness, knowledge and understanding of the many forms of autistic disorder, and to improve the range and quality of services for those affected by autism. Additionally, they provide support for those parents and carers for whom autism is part of daily life. Our donation this year will provide a club for young people affected by Autistic spectrum disorders.
But enough of what we’ve got to say, what do the bands look forward to at Uxfest?
