i've an idea - why not counteract the sitting-down-ness by sitting, not on stools, but on one of those bucking bronco things? I will pay a lot of money to see that!

A quick reminder that Left Side Brain play the Wunderbar ( www.wunderbar.co.uk) in Midsomer Norton, this Saturday 26th November. You can leave the earplugs at home though, as this will be a unique, one-off, acoustic gig. Yes, fellow tinnitus-sufferers, you heard/read that correctly. Support comes from acoustic all-girl trio 3D ( www.3dgigs.com). This will be the band's last remaining gig of 2005, before they take time off over the Christmas period to make final preparations for the release of their second album, due in early 2006.

Just a quickie to say that we did indeed play, it was ace, and support came not from all girl acoustic combo '3D' (whoever they are), as they wussed the hell out and quite simply failed to turn up. Lucky for us, this messageboard's very own Oxygen Thief was there, pint in hand, ready for a night on the lash..... and he kindly agreed to grab an axe and support us instead. Punters were totally captivated by the one-man acoustical whirlwind (they are only human, after all) and my personal highlight among the old Nuclear Fish songs and new Mono-Inyo material, was a rollicking cover of Ricochet - one of my favourite Faith No More songs, to which I doff my cap.
Massive LSB thanks for a mighty set!

...and massive thanks to LSB for asking me to step in - I'm impressed that I managed to hold back my maniacal excitement enough for G to have to double check with Kat that I wasn't put out at "having" to play rather than just standing around drinking until you guys started! I had a great night+hope I can play in there again soon, it's an awesome venue. talking of gigs........I've got me some plugging to do; Tuesday 13th December - I'm doing my Oxygen Thief thang downstairs at the Louisiana. it's free entry, so more money to spend on beer! then on Friday 16th comes the event I've been waiting for what seems like forever; my new band MONO-INYO are playing at the Porterbutt in Bath. [/size] me...playing in a band again...I'm sooooo excited you could probably power a small eastern european country from the hyperactive energy I'm generating at the moment. yeah, so come along; drink beer, headbang, and one day be able to look back and say " i was there in the beginning" and spit in the faces of noobie johnny-come-lately Inyo-faces did i mention i was excited? sorry for the essay...EXCITED!
