DANKO JONES - 'born a lion' rules you, your mum, and any other person unfortunate enough not to get out of the way when it's rockin comes a'knockin'! get it, play it, love it. equal and... rules the roost as well (nach ;D)
lookin forward to the leeds gig like nothing else. will be sweet to see you guys once more. been doing a one man street team jobbie on leeds so hope there is a bit of a crowd down the old vine!
PS do yooze need a place to sleep/park the van for the night in leeds? give us a txt / ring / email if you do (my house is cold, but it's a house!).
PPS on the subject of rockin' records try Black Flag's 'my war' on for size. hardcore punk sweezed first through henry rollins' insane mind then filtered through a layer of Black Sabbath-esk heaviness, tastes very good indeed. yum yum.

Sam, you have always been a gentleman of exquisite taste, but you really have excelled yourself in your digging of the mighty BORN A LION. May I also recommend that you check out the follow up WE SWEAT BLOOD, which, as you can imagine, is more of the same weapons-grade hard rocking.
"I was born a lion, And like a cat i'm gonna dance"
Genius. I love that record!

bling bling! i shall get my self listening. saw the mighty danko first supporting The Bronx (another AWESOME band, check them) then at leeds fest this year. he gurns like he is possessed, he screams like he is being killed, and he STILL manages to play the hardest, loudest acket on this damn planet.
"this heart grow stronger, this skin get's thicker, this mouth gets LOUDER!" sing it danko!
PS listen to The Bronx, ye heathens, and ye shalt be saved (anger never sounded so good)!!!

Today I am mostly obsessed with the track 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pt 1' by Pink Floyd. The perfect song?

saw the (international) noise conspiracy with THISgirl supporting at leeds cockpit last night. i can now proudly say that i have both: A)been sweated on by the former lead singer of Refused B)had my girlfriend hit on by the lead singer of Refused holy rockin' KISS batman, that fuckkin' rules!!
Like THISgirl's recordings but mucho dissapointing live. gotta see them again without heinous sound problems before jugement is reached. seemed real nice dudes though!
PS Rich me old mukka, i'll give you a bell this evening (wednesday) about next tuesday and all that jazz. you'll be pleased to hear we got three sofas (yes, three!!) and ample floor room which can be made nice and snug! chat to ya later holmes!

Great news. If I don't answer the phone immediately (i'll ring you back), it's because I'll be driving the LSB crew like wildfire down the M4, desperately trying to get the Helmet gig in London tonight, on time.

Must be great then Today's head tune is the quite frankly jaw dropping track (The Hunter And he Hunted, I think) from the forthcoming Eden Maine album that is gracing the cover of this month's Rocksound magazine. If the album (To You The First Star) doesn't get 5Ks there should be serious questions raised at Kerrang! HQ. In other news, I am also completely hooked on Neon Genesis: Evangelion, which seems to be the greatest cartoon series ever created, and also features the greatest opening credits of all time.

Today's perpetual head tune has been that Tool track on Aenima about LA falling into the sea. Magic.
