Probably not the coolest band in the world, but there's no denying the quality of 'Hang Ups' by Goldfinger. That record never fails to cheer me up, regardless of whether it's necessary.

I have also been listeing to the Radio One Rock Show, which is conspicuous by it's lack of a wall to wall LSBcentric playlist, in fact it's suffering from total LSB absence - sling a mail at Daniel P Carter and demand that this is rectified! rock.show@bbc.co.uk
If it's good enough to play on the 6Music Rock Show (much obliged, Bruce)....

I bought some recording equipment thing from a chap who works at Cooking Vinyl records, and he lumped in a few random cds in with it: The Broken Family Band - Salivating (single) Camper Van Beethoven - Popular Songs (album) Forward Russia - Life Processes the BFB was alright, a bit Brit-pop esque, will probably listen to it again a couple of times, really like it, and then forget about it in a week CVB didn't live up to the pun-tastic name...I got 2 tracks in before getting bored. FR are a bit weird...rather Cursive / Thursday with a bit of Bloc Party in there music-wise, with an annoying falsetto obsessed twat on vocals. Gona persevere with the album, but not 100% convinced by it. In other news - my mp3 player is showing signs that it may be considering a new career as a paperweight

Dananananaykroyd - Hey Everyone!
Brilliant album, bit quirky in places so might not be to everyone's taste, but there are some massive moments of noise to be had........breaks me out in huge smiles everytime anyhow.
